Who it fits

Key specs explained for OC 3 Plus

Power Source: Lithium-ion Battery

This cleaner operates without a cord, allowing you to move freely around your yard, patio, or garage without hunting for outlets. The integrated battery lets you clean multiple small areas on a single charge. An LED indicator warns you when power is low, so you can plan your recharge time. This independence from wall power makes it ideal for tasks where extension cords are inconvenient or unsafe to use.

Weight: 5.1 pounds

At just over five pounds, this unit is light enough to carry with one hand while you clean. You can easily lift it onto a car roof, carry it up stairs, or store it in a trunk without strain. This low weight contrasts with heavy gas-powered washers, making it suitable for users who prioritize portability over raw power. It reduces fatigue during extended cleaning sessions on decks or fences.

Length: 11 inches

The 11-inch length contributes to a compact footprint that fits easily into small storage spaces. You can tuck it behind a door, into a narrow cabinet, or under a sink. This size ensures it does not take up valuable room in a garage or shed. When comparing options, this compact dimension is key for buyers who need a tool that stores away quickly after use.

Width: 9.5 inches

This width keeps the device narrow, allowing it to slide into tight spots or fit alongside other equipment in crowded storage areas. It helps maintain a low profile when placed on shelves or in bins. This dimension complements the overall small size, ensuring the unit remains manageable for transport. It is a practical feature for those with limited space in their home or vehicle.

Height: 10.3 inches

The 10.3-inch height creates a stable, upright profile that is easy to handle and store. This dimension allows the unit to fit on standard shelf heights without protruding dangerously. It also aids in balancing the device while you hold the trigger gun. When evaluating portability, this height ensures the cleaner remains compact and does not require special storage solutions or large, dedicated spaces.

Design and Build Details

The Kärcher OC 3 Plus features a black finish and measures 11 inches in length, 9.5 inches in width, and 10.3 inches in height. According to the listing, the unit weighs 5.1 pounds. This compact footprint and light mass make it easy to carry to different cleaning spots without strain. The model number 1.680-039.0 identifies this specific portable variant among the brand's lineup.

The design prioritizes storage efficiency. The listing notes a removable water tank that can be filled indoors. Underneath this tank, you can store the spiral hose and trigger gun. This space-saving layout keeps the device tidy when not in use and simplifies transport. You can slide the components together to create a neat package.

Operation relies on an integrated lithium-ion battery. This power source removes the need for electrical cords, allowing you to clean areas far from outlets. An LED indicator warns you when the battery level is low. The system uses low pressure with a standard flat spray nozzle for general dirt and a cone-spray nozzle for sensitive tasks like cleaning dog paws. The gentle pressure helps you watch the dirt wash away without damaging surfaces. This build supports on-the-go cleaning where power access is limited or inconvenient.

Setup and Everyday Use Guide

Setting up the Kärcher OC 3 Plus requires minimal effort due to its self-contained design. You begin by filling the detachable water tank. The listing notes that you can easily fill this tank indoors before taking the unit outside. This design choice allows you to manage water sources conveniently without needing a hose connection at your cleaning site.

Once filled, you attach the spiral hose and trigger gun. The unit features a dedicated storage area under the removable water tank. This allows you to tuck the hose and gun away securely. This space-saving storage keeps the unit compact and prevents tangling when you are not actively using it.

For daily operation, the device relies entirely on its integrated lithium-ion battery. You do not need to plug it into an electrical outlet. The LED indicator on the unit warns you when the battery charge is low. This feature helps you plan your cleaning sessions around the available runtime. You can use the cleaner several times before needing to recharge the power source.

During use, you select from the included nozzles based on the task. The standard flat spray nozzle lets you watch dirt wash away gently. The cone-spray nozzle is designed for more sensitive surfaces, such as cleaning dog paws. The low-pressure output ensures efficient cleaning without damaging delicate materials. You can expand your cleaning capabilities by adding various accessories, though the base unit provides the core functionality for general outdoor maintenance.

Before You Buy OC 3 Plus

The Kärcher OC 3 Plus is a specialized tool, not a replacement for a standard pressure washer. You should verify that its low-pressure output meets your specific cleaning needs. It excels at gentle tasks like washing dog paws or rinsing delicate patio furniture, but it lacks the force needed for heavy grime on driveways. Because it relies on a detachable water tank, you must refill it frequently during large jobs. Plan to use it indoors for filling to keep the workflow smooth. The unit stores its spiral hose and trigger gun under the removable tank, so ensure you have space for this compact arrangement. Since it runs on a lithium-ion battery, check the runtime limits for your typical cleaning sessions. This device fits alongside the 1 other options on this page as a niche solution for mobile, light-duty cleaning. It complements heavier machines rather than competing with them.

Check before you buy

• Confirm low pressure suits your gentle cleaning tasks.
• Check if detachable tank refills fit your workflow.
• Verify battery runtime covers your typical job size.
• Ensure storage space fits the compact unit design.
